Model Parameters Explained

This article helps explain the Forecasting Model's Parameters.

The settings shown here adjust the parameters our model uses to calculate your surf forecast. You can vary the weight of each variable according to your location and personal preferences.

Examples:  1.  If you mostly surf reef breaks that require specific tides, then you would increase the Tide Height score from 20 to 30.

2.  If you mostly surf a beach break that is only good when the tide is rising, then you would increase Tide Dynamics score from 20 to 30.

3.  If you mostly surf a bay that only breaks when the swell's 10 ft. or bigger, then you would increase Swell Size score from 20 to 30.

But Most of us would keep them all near 20*****
